    Senior Business Development Manager – aligned to disputes & competition in innovative global law firm. Full mix role with account management responsibilities. Hybrid working.

     

    This well-known global law firm has a great culture and is very people focused.  This Senior Business Development Manager role is aligned to its Disputes, Competition & Antitrust practice group.  Supporting a group of highly engaged Partners, this is a full mix Marketing/BD role that isn’t too focused on bids!   You will be involved in the strategy and implementation of the practice’s growth through cross-selling, client relationship management and targeting new business.  The role has the capacity to be client facing, and will manage a couple of key clients.  It will also have a lot of autonomy of a number projects and campaigns, so is a great opportunity for someone that likes to be involved in lots of key initiatives.

     

    Key responsibilities:

    • Planning and developing of business development activity and the targeting of marketing activity (all channels).
    • Working with the leadership groups of each team to develop and implement annual business plans, budget proposals and campaign plans.
    • Working closely with partners on proactive, structured client development. You will have formal responsibility as the BD lead on some of these accounts.
    • Acting as the subject matter expert and ambassador for these areas, including monitoring market developments and commercial opportunities.
    • Managing major campaigns and pieces of thought leadership to promote the firm and its lawyers.
    • Producing bespoke bids, panel pitches and other client development presentations (formal and informal).
    • Leading on profile raising initiatives, including events and partnerships with key external stakeholders such as industry bodies.

     

    The ideal candidate will have gained strong experience in legal marketing and business development.  Knowledge of Disputes/Competition/Antitrust practices would be an advantage.  You should be confident, persuasive and assertive, as well as having excellent project management skills; you must be able to demonstrate experience of managing multiple projects and transforming a commercial issue into a business development opportunity.  The firm has an excellent culture and operates a high degree of flexible working.
