Head of Sector Business Development – new role in global boutique law firm heading the sector BD team. Hybrid working. Good work life balance

This international boutique law firm is top of its game in a number of key areas including transport, energy and insurance. The business development and marketing function is headed by an inspiring and supportive leader who has really shifted the firm’s understanding of business development.

In this new Head of Sector Business Development role, you will head up the sector business development team (team of 10-12). Specifically, the role will involve:

• Managing the business development team on a day-to-day basis;
• Having oversight of the BD plans for each sector group and ensuring that they are in line with the firm’s strategy;
• Ensuring that the budgets are managed correctly;
• Developing and enhancing processes particularly around cross-selling and knowledge sharing;
• Conducting client listening;
• Driving profile raising initiatives and campaigns across the sectors.
• Reporting and analysis of BD activities.

You will have significant business development experience gained in a major international law firm. Line management of a sizeable team is also required for this role. This role will suit someone who enjoys being in a strategic leadership role but is also happy to roll their sleeves up.
