Head of Pitches & Pursuits for a global law firm that boasts a first-class pitch strategy and delivery team. This leadership role offers an almost unique opportunity to take this firm to the next level in their bids and proposals, putting a sales focus at the forefront of everyone’s minds and conversations. This role will focus on team leadership, best practices development and leading tech projects relating to bids. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing leadership on some of the firm’s most strategic panel and matter opportunities on a global basis. Driving innovation in firmwide pitch strategies, by investigating and implementing new technologies and techniques, where applicable.
• Working closely with other firm business teams, e.g., Finance, IT, Pricing, and Conflicts, HR and the broader Marketing & Business Development team in designing and delivering global solutions.
• Ensuring all opportunities globally follow a consistent framework, with a laser focus on maintaining and improving the firmwide pitch win rate.
• Delivering pitch training and coaching, ensuring best practice is adopted and followed across the globe.
• Ensuring post-pitch client debriefs are undertaken, to continuously refine and improve pitch strategies.
The successful candidate will have strong management, leadership and coaching experience gained within a legal or wider professional services firm such as accountancy or management consultancy. You should demonstrate the ability to think strategically and commercially, as well as having the foresight to see problems and challenges coming down the track (and problem solve them!). As you will be engaging with senior stakeholders across the firm, gravitas and the ability to influence are essential traits.
