Business Development Director (Real Estate Funds) – brand new appointment in major fund administration firm. Client facing origination role targeting real estate funds.

This major fund administration firm has offices all over the world and is in an ambitious growth mode. As well as being highly entrepreneurial, it boasts a great down to earth culture too!

In this new Business Development Director role, you will target the real estate funds market both in Jersey but also Europe, Middle East and the US. This is an origination role targeting both corporate clients as well as intermediaries. Specifically, the role will involve:

    • Driving sales from origination to completion.
    • Researching and identifying new business opportunities including new markets, new clients, new referrers and other partnerships.
    • Targeting international fund managers as well as family offices and sovereign wealth funds.
    • Building strong relationships with intermediaries such as law firms, consulting firms and real estate consultancies.
    • Working with existing clients to generate new mandates.
    • Putting together bids, proposals and pitch presentations.
    • Promoting the company through networking at industry events and developing partnership opportunities.
    • Building relationships with internal subject matter experts in order to introduce them to prospective clients,
    • Using Salesforce to develop and monitor the sales pipeline.

The role is based in London but with occasional travel to Jersey and also potentially internationally for client meetings. You would enjoy hybrid working being in the office three days a week.

You will have a significant track record of revenue generation within the financial services sector with a particular focus on targeting real estate funds. Knowledge of the Middle East market is ideal but not essential. A black book of referrers such as law firms and property firms is also highly desirable.
