BD Manager Disputes (12 month FTC)

    Business Development Manager – full mixed role with chance to be client facing, aligned to the International Arbitration and Construction Disputes practice of this international law firm.

     

    This BD Manager role supporting a global market leading international arbitration and disputes practice is a great opportunity to work with a nice group of partners who are very engaged with BD. It is a very international role with great exposure to the international offices and clients.  There is also good support for this BD Manager in the form of an Exec and Senior Exec. You will also have some key client responsibility and the chance to be client facing as well.

     

    This is a broad position encompassing all aspects of business development and marketing.  On a day-to-day basis, the role will involve:

     

    • Preparation of and implementation of business development plans in line with strategic objectives
    • Identify and co-ordinate cross-selling opportunities with other practice areas, sector specialists and relationship partners; developing strong relationships with sector teams
    • Undertake research and analysis to identify targets for practice/sector and take responsibility for targeting initiatives
    • Liaise with partners and BD colleagues across the global network on both drafting and project managing matter-specific and significant practice and firm-wide panel pitches
    • Cross-practice Client Relationship Manager responsibilities for a major client in the Firm’s Client Growth Portfolio (key client account programme)
    • Coaching to develop the BD skills of the practice lawyers and raise awareness of BD services

     

     

    This is a role in a high profile practice area and requires previous experience of working in a BD role in a global law firm.  Experience of international arbitration or disputes would be advantageous but is not essential.  The firm offers a good level of flexibility and has a great culture.
