Business Development Manager (Disputes) 12 month FTC

Business Development Manager on a 12 month FTC maternity cover, in a midsized international law firm, focusing on their disputes practice. Salary circa £75,000.

Business Development Manager aligned to the Disputes group within a leading law firm.  This is a great opportunity to work with market-leading lawyers who work collaboratively with the BD team, and have a great presence in the tech, real estate and life science sectors. The role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive BD and marketing plans across the international disputes and investigations practice. The role will also have support from and line manage a Senior Executive based in the UK. Responsibilities include:

• Play a key role in helping to implement the practice business plan, supporting the delivery of BD, client and profile-raising initiatives;
• Work with the marketing and comms team to identify and develop topics to create market leading campaigns and demonstrate the firm’s position as sector influencers/strategic advisers;
• Support on the launch of the firm’s international Disputes brand campaign, working with the Head of Disputes;
• Manage participation for the firm at major industry events and speaking opportunities;
• Advise partners on the utilisation of industry memberships and client targeting programmes;
• Manage any disputes-led bids and proposals.

The role will suit a credible BD Manager, ideally with disputes or investigations experience. Whilst the role is an FTC, the firm have been growing, and there could be further opportunities further down the line.
