Business Development Manager (Guildford)

Business Development Manager – new Guildford-based role at leading regional law firm. Full mix role. Great culture and excellent work/life balance.

This leading Guildford based law firm has a great culture and is actively growing its marketing & BD function.  In this new BD Manager role, you will act as second—in-command to the Head of BD & Marketing.  You will work across all of the firm’s practice groups with junior support.

On a day-to-day basis the role will involve:

• Working with the partners to develop and implement their business and marketing plans;
• Identifying opportunities for campaigns and delivering on these;
• Implementing targeting and cross-selling initiatives;
• Developing and implementing client plans and advising partners on key client initiatives;
• Advising partners on all aspects of business development;
• Developing bid process as well as end-to-end bid management;
• Budgeting and reporting;

You’ll enjoy a great work/life balance and hybrid working. The role has excellent scope for development as the firm grows.

You will have a proven track record in a full mix marketing and business development role. This will have been gained in a professional services environment, ideally within the legal sector.  You will have line management experience and excellent project management experience. A positive and proactive approach is key to winning partners over and delivering new ideas.
